The nominees for the 84th Academy Awards have been announced by the
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Here are the nominees for
the Achievement in Makeup Oscar: Albert Nobbs: Martial Corneville, Lynn Johnson, Matthew W. Mungle
Special make-up effects designer Matthew Mungle previously won an Academy Award for Dracula;
this is the first nomination for make-up department head Lynn Johnson
and hairstylist Martial Corneville. For more on how they transformed

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II: Nick Dudman, Amanda Knight, Lisa Tomblin
Creature effects/make-up effects designer Nick Dudman, make-up
department head Amanda Knight and hair designer Lisa Tomblin, along with
their teams, created unforgettable looks for the eighth and final film

The Iron Lady: Mark Coulier, J. Roy Helland
This is the first Oscar nomination for Mark
Coulier and J. Roy Helland, recognized for transforming actress Meryl Streep into former
British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Coulier won Emmy Awards for Arabian Nights and the 1998 Merlin, and Helland won an Emmy Award for Angels in America. See Issue 94 of Make-Up Artist magazine for more details on The Iron Lady. Details
