In The Flash, the CW series about a young hero who can move at superhuman speed, actress Candice Patton plays Iris West, the hero’s best friend and crush. Generating fresh ideas for Patton’s character keeps make-up artist Candice Stafford-Bridge moving quickly, too.

“In every episode we try to create a new look for Candice while always keeping true to the Iris West character,” explains Stafford-Bridge. “Candice, [hairdresser] Codey Blair and I truly enjoy our time together in the trailer collaborating on her look. We are having fun getting to explore some new areas for Iris this season and changing her look up for specific episodes—stay tuned!”

Stafford-Bridge says the trick to creating Patton’s overall look is blending well and adding glow to her complexion. Read on to see what products she used to create the look pictured here.

Editor's note: This breakdown originally appeared in Issue 118 of Make-Up Artist magazine.

Skincare
Fresh Sugar Lip Polish, Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Booster, Dermalogica Active Moist. At the end of the day, Stafford-Bridge removes Patton’s make-up with Dermalogica Precleanse and a hot towel, and treats the actress to a Karuna Hydrating+ Face Mask weekly while she’s in the hair chair.
Foundation
“I mix Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 8 with Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup Compact in 9 and apply with a Sigma foundation brush and blend with a pink Beautyblender—one of my favorite tools! Cheekbones and brow bones get a wash of Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow,” says Stafford-Bridge.
Concealer
Kryolan Dermacolor Camouflage Creme Mini-Palette 16 Colors in NR. 1; Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer in Mocha, mixed with AmazingCosmetics AmazingConcealer in Dark Tan and applied under the eyes.
Powder
Benefit The Porefessional: Agent Zero Shine. “I apply all of Candice’s face powder with very small, fluffy brushes; one of my favorites is the M.A.C. 225 Tapered Blending Brush [discontinued].”
Blush
Nars Blush in Sin, applied to the cheekbones; Nars Blush in Dolce Vita mixed with a small amount of Laura Mercier Cheek Colour in Sun Kissed (discontinued), applied to the apples of the cheeks using a Bdellium Tools 787 Duet Fiber Large Tapered Blending brush.
Eye Shadow
NARS Matte Eyeshadow Single in Blondie, applied as a base; Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Cocoa Mirage, applied to the crease and outer corners; M.A.C. Eye Shadow in Vanilla Extract from the Eye Shadow X15: Warm Neutral palette, applied to the center of the lid
Eye Liner
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink, applied above the top lashes and defined with Charlotte Tilbury The Feline Flick in Panther; Scott Barnes Beauty Iluminey in Velvet (discontinued), smudged lightly into the outer corners from under the bottom lashes
Brows
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencils and Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. “I do a gradual color, starting with Medium Brown, blending the tip out into Dark Brown,” says Stafford-Bridge.
Mascara
Tarte Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler, Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl in Over Black
False Lashes
Ardell DuraLash Individuals Flare in Short Black on each eye and Huda Beauty Waterproof Lash Glue Dark-Ton
Lips
Kevyn Aucoin The Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in Minimal and Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Berry, with Coral on the center of the bottom lip
