It wouldn’t be Halloween without a zombie or two, so we’re
giving you the usual Beauty Breakdown of a beautiful babe, plus a breakdown of
a zombie stripper. We found both within the same film: Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocolypse, which hits theaters Oct. 30.
“The character of Denise was played by Sarah Dumont,”
explains Dumont’s make-up artist/make-up department head, Michele Tyminski. “The
design of Sarah’s make-up was centered around the idea of adding a sexy edge to
Denise’s look. A smoky eye with a pop of color and light lip is what became our
interpretation of this. …
“The most challenging part of Sarah’s make-up was
maintaining it throughout the shooting night when most of her touchups were
done under the light of just a Fenix E15 flashlight. If you don’t have one, I
highly recommend adding one to your kit; they are tiny but super powerful. The
majority of the film was shot at night, and work lights for touchups were often
not an option.”
