Make-up department head Eryn Krueger Mekash had her work cut out for her on the 2012 Lifetime movie Liz & Dick, for which she was also the make-up artist to Lindsay Lohan, who stars as Elizabeth Taylor.
"We covered three decades for all the characters [in this film], adding subtle aging to Lindsay for later scenes using Tinsley Transfers and highlight and shadows. Other actors wore stretch-and-stipple old-age make-ups done with the PPI Green Marble SeLr technique. And our lead actor, Grant Bowler, wore full prosthetics as the aged Richard Burton, also Tinsley Transfers, done by myself and my key make-up Kim Ayers, who took care of Grant's make-up responsibilities throughout. Myriam Arougheti was my third and took care of all the background actors as well as some of our principals. This was a very low-budget 20-day shoot and we worked some incredible hours—there were many changes and challenges. Her [Lohan's] wig is by Beatrice De Alba, who was also the department head of hair for Liz & Dick. I am proud of what my team accomplished in an almost impossible schedule."

“I used Ivoire from the Viseart Palette Eyeshadows in Basics on the brow bone and blended into the dark-brown shade from the same palette in the crease and pulled up in the outer corner. I also smudged the dark brown lightly under lash. For this look (one of probably 15 looks) I used the lavender shade from the Viseart Palette Eyeshadows in Pearl Bright on her lid. I used Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Navajo in the inner corners of the eye, pulled under the lashes.”
“For Liz’s famous brows I started with Tricia Sawyer Brow Define in Dark Brown to get the shape—Liz’s brows were almost black, but I started with dark brown to map out the shape. Then I added Laura Mercier Brow Definer in Warm to create the arch and keep the shape. Finally I used Ardell Brow Powder Palette in Dark, using the darkest powder to go over the whole brow. I never had to touch them again all day.”
