Mitchell lined Agron’s eyes with M.A.C. Fluidline in Blacktrack “on top and bottom as well as from the inner corner up into the crease, out towards the outer corner of the crease and back in to meet the lash line.” Julie Hewett Omit Pencil was also used “on the inner rim of her lower lids as well as in between the two black lines at the outer corners to make it pop.”

“We wanted to do a similar version of Lady Gaga's 2010 Grammy look without copying it. I went with Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow/Liner in Skinny Jeans as a base for her shadow because I think they're the best primers I've found. They stay all day either as a shadow or as a base coat,” said Mitchell. “Ryan Murphy, our director and executive producer, really wanted her brows to stand out so we darkened them past their normal shade with Stila Brow Set. He asked me to tone down the pink in the lashes so they wouldn't be as distracting so I ran a bit of black mascara through them.”
