Skincare
Nischol first prepped Pinto’s skin to create a canvas to work on and for the make-up to stay looking fresh and glowing all day. To cleanse the skin, she used Lancôme Galatée Confort (a creme cleanser). Nischol then used Lancôme Tonique Douceur to tone the skin and Lancôme Bienfait Multi-Vital Glow to moisturize.
Foundation
After prepping the skin, Nischol smoothed Cosmetics à la carte Skin Tint in Gold+Honey on Pinto’s face to even out the skin tone and create a glow.
Concealer
Nischol used a Kryolan DC Camouflage Creme Palette and would mix the colors she felt were appropriate at the time.
Powder
Nischol then dusted Screenface Translucent Powder (loose) lightly all over to set the make-up, concentrating on the t-zone so that the glow from the face was still visible.
Blush
Screenface Blushing Gel in Barely Rouge—Nischol concentrated most of it on the apples of Pinto’s cheeks to create a very natural flush.
Eye Shadow
Nischol wanted to achieve an artistic effect, without overloading too much eye shadow. First she applied a wash of taupe eye shadow from the Screenface Eyeshadows Palette in Neutral over the entire eyelid to create a base. Then, over that she applied a wash of M.A.C. Eye Shadow in Woodwinked (a warm antique gold shade), again over the entire lid, concentrating on the center for a pop of color and brightness to bring a sparkle to Pinto’s eyes. Nischol then used a medium brown from the palette to contour the eyelid crease and on the outer corner of the eye for a bit of a lift and definition.
Eye Liner
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink applied very closely to the top lash line to accentuate and add even more definition. Nischol also used Revlon ColorStay® Eyeliner in brown inside the rim of the lower lash line after applying mascara.
Brows
Onyx Brow Fix
Mascara
Maybelline Great Lash® Mascara in black, applied to the top and lower lashes
Lips
Nischol created a natural look, while still adding color, moisture and shine, by using Bobbi Brown Lip Tint SPF 15 in Maple Tint (available on the U.K. Web site).
Highlights / Countour
To complete the look, Nischol used Shiseido Accentuating Color Stick in Glistening Flush (S3) on the top of Pinto's cheekbones and brow bone to bring the whole look together and light up her face.

THANK YOU so much for posting this breakdown! I only recently saw Slumdog Millionaire. I know, I\\\'m behind, and I was delighted to see this detailed listing. The film exceeded my expectations and definitely lived up to all the hype. Freida Pinto looked stunning. Gorgeous. I'm seriously thinking I now need to purchase the Bobbi Brown lip tint in Maple from the U.K.

Yes! I'm so glad this was posted! I'm sure Freida's skin is naturally beautiful anyway, but it was completely flawless in the movie. It was a distinctive look because her skin looked perfect but didn't look like any make-up had been caked on at all. I'm really excited about checking out some of these products.
Thanks!
