For The Secret Life of the American Teenager, make-up artist Amy Sparks gave former teen star Molly Ringwald—who now plays a teen girl’s mother—a polished look. “On set Molly is touched up with blot papers whenever possible to minimize using powder,” said Sparks, who works with Ringwald. “And Molly’s base is applied with a Beautyblender sponge, to apply only a thin layer of foundation. We like to get coverage without putting a lot of make-up on, and the wet Beautyblender feels refreshing on her skin.”
