On July 22, 2012, pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen looked dazzling onstage and on the pink carpet at the Teen Choice Awards, where she received her award for Choice Music Breakout Artist. Celebrity make-up artist Desirae Cherman, who created her look, says she “decided to do a smoky eye to bring an element of drama to the look.” Below, she discusses the products used to prepare the young starlet for her Teen Choice Award-winning debut.

| “I always love for skin to glow! The best way to achieve that is to start with good skin prep. I started with Jurlique Lavender Hydrating Mist to help hydrate as well as balance.” |

Eye Kohl in Rosemary & Thyme (this shade is no longer available, but according to a M.A.C. representative, M.A.C. Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Forever Green is comparable) above her lashes and blended onto her crease, [then] followed with CHANEL Illusion D'ombre in Epatant.” |
