To turn actress
Elizabeth Banks into trend-setting character Effie Trinket for the hit film The Hunger Games, make-up department
head Ve Neill worked her magic all the way out to Banks’ fingertips. “Effie …
always wore hand-decorated false fingernails,” Neill said. “For this look, they
were lavender and white with tiny silver orbs and a decorative silver ornament
in the middle.”

Pigment in Full Force Violet mixed with MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Seal was also used as liner on the upper lid. (This particular M.A.C Pigment was a limited-edition product and has been discontinued.) |

| “I mixed M.A.C. Pigment in Full Force Violet with mascara crème for the lash,” said Neill. |

| Natural-shaped lashes in purple were used with several individual pink lashes on outer corner. |

| Blushed forehead and cheek area using elementwo Canvas Blend Pigments in Crystal Pink and elementwo Canvas Blend Blush in Cherry Blossom. “This look was also enhanced with elementwo Canvas Blend Pigments in Amethyst and Isabelline, which I also used blown onto eyelids and brows. M.A.C. Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom was used where needed for a bump up. [This color has been discontinued, but according to M.A.C., M.A.C. Powder Blush in Pink Swoon is comparable.] I finished this look with a Swarovski crystal on her right cheek.”
