To turn actress Elizabeth Banks into trend-setting character Effie Trinket for the hit film The Hunger Games, make-up department head Ve Neill worked her magic all the way out to Banks’ fingertips. “Effie … always wore hand-decorated false fingernails,” Neill said. “For this look, they were lavender and white with tiny silver orbs and a decorative silver ornament in the middle.”

Concealer
MAKE UP FOR EVER Full Cover Extreme Camouflage Cream in Pink Porcelain
Powder
Her make-up was set with MAKE UP FOR EVER Super Matte Loose Powder in Pale Pink and Mauve
Blush
Neill added a small amount of M.A.C. Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom “to bump up the cheek.” (This product was in two limited-edition collections and has been discontinued.)
Eye Liner
Kryolan Aquacolor in Strauss Wine was used under the bottom lash and as thick eye liner on upper lid. M.A.C. Pigment in Full Force Violet mixed with MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Seal was also used as liner on the upper lid. (This particular M.A.C Pigment was a limited-edition product and has been discontinued.)
Mascara
“I mixed M.A.C. Pigment in Full Force Violet with mascara crème for the lash,” said Neill.
False Lashes
Natural-shaped lashes in purple were used with several individual pink lashes on outer corner.
Lips
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Butch
Additional Information
Blushed forehead and cheek area using elementwo Canvas Blend Pigments in Crystal Pink and elementwo Canvas Blend Blush in Cherry Blossom. “This look was also enhanced with elementwo Canvas Blend Pigments in Amethyst and Isabelline, which I also used blown onto eyelids and brows. M.A.C. Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom was used where needed for a bump up. [This color has been discontinued, but according to M.A.C., M.A.C.
