The hit comedy Bridesmaids challenged make-up department head Heba Thorisdottir to create a matching make-up look for an ensemble cast playing a bridal party. In the film's wedding scene, star Kristen Wiig—along with actresses Rose Byrne, Ellie Kemper, Melissa McCarthy and Wendi McLendon-Covey—wear coordinated dresses, hair and make-up. "[My team and I] wanted it to look like one person came in to do their hair and another to do all their make-up," Thorisdottir said. "The challenge was finding colors for eyes and lips that suited all of the girls!" The team went with a shimmering white eye shadow, a pink cream blush and a gloss with just the right balance of white and blue. All could be applied in intensities ranging from sheer to opaque (depending on each actress’s skin tone), while maintaining the thread of similarity. The result? A pretty, polished bridal party that doesn’t look like a paint-by-numbers project.
