At the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards held Sept. 21, 2008, actress
Laura Linney won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a
Movie, for her role as Abigail Adams in John Adams.
The miniseries won 13 Emmy awards, including Paul Giamatti for Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Miniseries and
Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or a Special.
